Scope of service

We can answer enquiries about the V&A Archive, Archive of Art & Design (AAD), Young V&A Archive, and Theatre & Performance Archives. Archives staff cannot perform extensive original research and we reserve the right to limit the number of enquiries per individual. We aim to provide a reply to all enquiries within 20 working days.

Material from the V&A Archive (the historical records of the V&A including Registered files, historic photographs, posters) can be viewed by appointment only in the National Art Library

Material from the Archive of Art and Design and the Theatre and Performance Archives can be viewed by appointment only in the Study Centre at V&A East Storehouse.
